The 60-day transfer lock explained Print

  • 0

Sometimes a domain simply will not transfer yet. Most of the time this is the 60-day lock, a safety rule that stops domains being whisked away too quickly.

What switches it on

  • The domain was registered less than 60 days ago.
  • The domain was transferred less than 60 days ago.
  • The owner’s contact details were changed recently.

💡 Handy tip

The lock lifts on its own after 60 days. If you are in a hurry, contact support and we will explain your options.
